Church Partner Highlight
Bridges Community Church
Bridges Community Church has felt privileged to partner with Compassion Network for many years. They have been a part of the CityServe board, have hosted the former “Tree of Hope” Christmas gift event, given out bikes via their bike clinic ministry, helped bring homes back to ‘code’ with “Impact Days”and hosted Single Mom Oil Changes in the past.
Currently, Bridges Community Church continues to have a
Faithful Soup Talk team, with Pastor Nate ministering weekly along with volunteers serving food, and collecting/distributing hygiene packs to the unhoused.
Bridges also enjoys being a host site for Joyful Bounty Easter and Hearty Harvest Thanksgiving meal connection and distribution events.
During the Holidays we adopt the Boost Homework Help families for Christmas Cheer presents for the kids.
Their Bike Ministry could use some volunteers who can help fix up the donated bikes that fill a container, so that they can get those out to families in need.
This year, Bridges will continue Impact Days, finding family-friendly activities such as helping senior citizens with their yard work.
Most importantly, Bridges Community Church seeks to build and continue relationships with clients and have been privileged to come alongside with, and, they seek to continue to involve their community in one of their core values of discipleship: Community Impact - “Reaching our world as an extension of serving our neighbors”.
Pastor Nate Glaze, who has been on staff in various pastoral roles for 18 years, has accepted the call to lead Bridges. The church community is so excited to welcome Pastor Nate to this new position. He’s creative, passionate, energetic and ready to lead, as the church continues to pursue the life adventure of following Jesus and reaching our community for Jesus.
