About the Car Seat Outreach Program

Child passenger safety has come a long way in the last few decades, and families are often overwhelmed trying to choose which seats meet the needs of their children. The process is confusing and expensive, and many children end up with a used or very old car seat with an unknown history, which can put them at risk. Many of our clients find themselves in this situation.

As a mom of three boys, Alison Garabedian, a volunteer from Cedars Church, saw this need in the community, became a certified Passenger Safety Technician, and has partnered with Compassion Network for the last four years to provide and install the right car seat for each family.

Last year, we partnered together to provide 51 car seats to families in need! While getting children safe in the car is definitely a strong love for her, she knows that the opportunity to connect with a family for 30-45 minutes is just as important.

During these appointments, many families share part of their story and the struggles they are going through. Alison offers to pray for families at the end of the appointment, and the majority of clients have been open to this connection. As this program expands, there is a growing need for others to partner with Alison in this outreach.
