Families Receives Furniture

Not long ago, the Bayat family, recent arrivals from Afghanistan, received various furniture and household items from several donors for their new permanent residence. They were so thrilled. They took the time to send us a postcard. In it they wrote, "We're so grateful for your troubles of turning our empty home into a completed home."

Their case manager from the Afghan Elderly Association (AEA), Hamida Obeid, also sent us a thank you letter of gratitude. In it she wrote, "On behalf of everyone at AEA, please accept our sincerest thanks for your generosity, kindness and unwavering commitment to helping those in need."

This is just one of the dozens of Afghan refugee families we are serving. What a joy it is to welcome them into our country and into our lives.
