Collecting trash and handing supplies at a homeless encampment in Ardenwood

In Fremont’s Ardenwood area near Dumbarton Bridge sits a homeless encampment. It was at this location that the team of volunteers would focus their efforts in giving away supplies and clearing trash.

United to serve

About 20 volunteers from 5 churches (Harbor Light, Convergence House of Prayer, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Forerunner Christian Church and Tree of Life) coordinated efforts to collect snacks, masks, hand sanitizers, socks, and flashlights to distribute to the homeless in the encampment.

Volunteers offered prayers to several of the unhoused neighbors, cleared away trash, and talked with them.
