Luke’s Day of Service

This is Luke. Luke is a normal 13 year old boy, a Christian and a Boy Scout, who responded to the needs of 2 elderly disabled women who needed yard work done. Here are the stories:

MISS H:
She needed her lawn mowed. Luke volunteered to help Miss H. Luke's dad Paul showed him how to work a lawn mower for the first time and he successfully mowed Miss H's lawn. She was very grateful for his hard work and appreciated the time he took to mow both the front and back yards. 

MISS N:
Miss N. became permanently disabled after a hit and run accident. Her daughter takes care of her 24/7. Miss N's case manager asked for help to cut her lawn and trim an overgrown yard.The daughter was so overwhelmed with her mother's care that much of the yard work had been neglected for many years. Luke decided to step up to the call. Over the course of 2-3 weeks Luke was able to clear the front and back yard and trim overgrown bushes. It took several trips to the green bin to remove all the clippings. Miss N. and her daughter were very appreciative and grateful for the commitment and hard work Luke displayed.
