Sweet Dreams for an Afghan Family

The Farzeens are an Afghan family of four who recently immigrated to Fremont. They live in a two bedroom apartment in Castro Valley. They have welcomed into their place another Afghan family of 6. So, far a while, they had 10 people in an apartment with no furniture. 

Theresa and I were able to provide them with two twin beds. One, an Ikea style platform bed was mainly put together by a twenty something son of the "visiting" family. They were a joy to work with. 

What a joy to see the kids excited to sleep on a new bed!
